Camp McDowell is the camp and conference center for the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Alabama.  With over 1,140 acres of forests, fields, waterfalls, and canyons, Camp McDowell is one of the most beautiful spots in Alabama. We are blessed to host our Cursillo weekends in such a wonderful place. 

One common question about Cursillo relates to the accommodations. Many people think of rustic conditions and a lack of air conditioning when they think of camp. Thankfully, that is not what you will experience at Camp McDowell.  Cursillo weekends take place in the Miller Commons area of camp. All buildings are air conditioned. You will stay in a hotel style room with a private bathroom and plenty of hot water. Handicap accessible rooms are available.  You will thoroughly enjoy your stay at "The Campton Inn".
